We aim to give women a place to widen their social network.
J4L was born because we remember what it was like the sense of loneliness when moving to a new area with a limited social network. Or had struggled meeting new people due to the fact that we were at home being a busy mum. Some of us even remember being a little on the shy side.
The Kidderminster Group was set up and soon grew with a broad cross section of women from the region along with LGBT members of all ages,It was great to meet up with other like minded women, who also wanted to socialise more and broaden their circle of friends. Which prompted the development of J4L.
J4l decided to provide a small number of events like cottage breaks, meals out, picnics in the park for others to come along to and enjoy. While we do not provide a vast range of different events, the events we do provide are talked about and are known for the fantastic memorable times together.
We aim to make it a comfortable welcoming environment. We are all like one large extended family building friendships and pulling together to help each other when needed.
Our mission is to create a safe, non-discriminative, welcoming environment where friendships and relationships can grow without boundaries. In many cases women can feel isolated and excluded, public services are increasing however, do not always meet the needs of a diverse community of women.
J4L aims to unite women, empowering them through social activities & community work with the aim of enabling it's members to continue building and developing a new and varied support network of friends.
We at J4L welcome your news and views, we will gladly add content to the J4L website and are happy to promote charity events, requests for volunteers and social gatherings. We would love to hear from other groups, organisations and businesses where women can work together.
